Processing & Shipping Time

Small Parcel: Smaller items and accessories will be shipped within 1 business day via the most economical service from FedEx, UPS or USPS for FREE. Larger games and furniture may incur a shipping charge. Please call to request expedited shipping as additional charges may apply.

International Orders:

Please contact us for international rates. The customer is responsible for all taxes and duties associated with their purchase. Maine Home Recreation can help navigate the customs process or a customs broker when needed.

LTL Truck Freight: Some all in stock games ship within 48-72 hours. Once shipped, please allow 1-2 weeks for arrival. A MHR team member will reach out if your selected product has a longer lead time. You’ll be provided with your tracking number once we confirm pickup by the freight carrier. Once the game has shipped and arrives at the delivery terminal, the Freight Carrier will contact you to set up a 3-4 hour delivery window.

Larger games shipped to the lower 48 states are shipped LTL truck freight with curbside delivery. This means the freight company is not responsible for carrying the product into the building, unloading the package from the truck, or assembling your purchase. For heavier items, we strongly recommend that you have the appropriate assistance available at the time of delivery. All freight items are fully insured. White Glove Delivery and Installation: For items being delivered inside our Maine Home Recreation coverage area, rest assured that we will do everything we can to provide you with the best service in the business! Our installers are well trained and can deliver and professionally install every game we sell.  We will treat you, your product, and your home/business with the utmost care. Our reputation means everything to us. Treating our customers the way we want to be treated by providing quality products and excellent service is where that all starts.

For items that include professional installation outside of our coverage area your product will ship directly to a certified billiard technician in your area. A Maine Home Recreation Team Member will still reach out directly to confirm order details, but the installation appointment will be coordinated directly with the local company.

How to Accept Your Freight Shipment

Prepare: 

LTL truck freight items will come with curbside delivery. This means the freight company is not responsible for unloading the package from the truck, carrying the product into the building, or assembling your purchase. For heavier items, we strongly recommend that you have the appropriate assistance available at the time of delivery. Carriers are not liable for damages that occur while moving your table into your residence or business, so please make sure you have assistance on the day your table arrives to insure you and your table make it inside safely.

Please make sure a freight truck can reach your location for delivery.

If the shipping company is NOT able to contact you within a reasonable time to arrange delivery storage fees will be applied. After a few attempts the freight company will be instructed to return the shipment to the manufacturer to avoid any further storage fees and the customer is responsible for the shipping fee both ways, restocking fee, and storage fees.

Inspect:

Inspect all packages before signing the delivery receipt. If damage of any sort has occurred be sure that the driver has notated “damaged”, or “subject to inspection” on all copies of the delivery receipt BEFORE SIGNING FOR YOUR SHIPMENT. This includes but is not limited to damage to the carton or merchandise. Failure to notate damages will result in the forfeiture of your rights to claim damages and have your order replaced or repaired at no charge.

Any shipping damage must be reported within 1 business day of receiving your shipment. Photos demonstrating the extent of the damage are required and must be received within 5 days of the damage being reported. This enables us to make sure your claim is taken care of properly, and you are not liable for the cost of a repair or replacement.

Please do not refuse a shipment unless it is completely destroyed and damage has been notated on all copies of the delivery receipt. Our game tables can be fixed fastest when the items are left at the customer’s home rather than back in the carrier’s hands who caused the damage in the first place. In most cases a part can be replaced, or we can offer a reasonable discount to keep the product.

If you have any questions regarding what to do please contact us before you sign for or refuse any package. These policies are in place so that the shipping company can be held responsible in the rare case that an item is damaged in shipping and to ensure that you receive a repair or replacement at no additional cost.

SIGNING FOR SHIPMENT:

If your shipment has arrived with all boxes accounted for and no damages, you can sign for your shipment. Signing the Proof of Delivery will be requested by the driver. If you do not notate that there is possible, or even specific damage at the time the POD is signed, a claim cannot be filed and any damages will be your responsibility. Due to shipping company policies this is true no matter the circumstance of the delivery, including driver’s rushing, large packages, lack of help or damage that is concealed in the package. Signing the POD free and clear without notating damage means that you have confirmed that you have received your order in PERFECT condition.
